Originally constructed in 1851, this building has stood as a testament to Janesville’s rich history for over a century and a half. In 2021, local entrepreneur Ben Thompson purchased the building, embarking on a meticulous three-year journey to preserve its historic charm while seamlessly integrating modern luxuries. The result is a stunning blend of timeless craftsmanship and contemporary comfort, offering a unique and memorable experience for both residents and visitors.

The first floor of the building is home to Classy Rascals, a charming children’s boutique that adds a lively touch to the community. Above, the second and third floors house three beautifully designed residential units, perfect for those seeking a blend of historic elegance and modern living in the heart of the city.

This project is the latest example of Ben Thompson’s commitment to revitalizing local communities. In addition to his work in real estate development, Ben owns and operates Big Radio, a network of 10 radio stations serving Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. With offices in Monroe, Freeport, Beloit, and Janesville, Big Radio connects communities through news, entertainment, and music, much like this building connects its past and future.
